This listing is for a custom made heady wire wrap multi stone pendant, using the precious metal wires and gemstones of your choice. Typically a base wire such as jewelry grade copper wire or sterling silver fill wire is used depending on what the customer prefers, along with at least 1 focal stone, and at least a few accent stones unless specifically requested not to. I do have the option to add 14k gold fill wire as accent pieces as well upon request.
I have 3 main heady wire wrap pendant options for you to choose from, those being a basic pendant option, a medium pendant option, and a large pendant option, which are explained below:
• Basic Pendant Option: The basic pendant option will include 1 focal stone, and up to 3 accent stones.
• Mid Grade Pendant Option: The mid grade pendant option will include 1 focal stone, 3 to 5 accent stones, and one channel set option.
• High End Pendant Option: The high end pendant option includes up to 3 focal stones, 7 to 10 accent stones, and 2 to 4 channel set options.
What is a focal stone?
In jewelry making, whether it is wire wrapping, beading, stone setting, or what have you, the focal stone or stones are simply the main focus of a piece of jewelry. Some of the most popular choices a lot of wire wrappers are using nowadays include Amethyst, Labradorite, Malachite, Moldavite, Rhodochrosite, but really the list is endless. The image below is an example of a simple copper pendant made using a piece of clear quarts for the focal stone, with one garnet and two Peridot accent stones:
What are accent stones?
An accent stone is a stone added to a piece of jewelry in addition to the main focal stone or focal stones. They can either be set in a row similar to a channel setting, or set individually. Typically they are smaller cut gemstones that are “set” individually, and separated from each other. Below you can see an example of 4 amethyst accent stones that I included in a custom order for a customer:
What is a channel setting?
There’s not a huge difference between a channel setting and a row of accent stones. The main difference is that with a channel setting the stones are not separated, but rather they flow in a “channel”, like a river. This technique can be a tiny bit more difficult to pull off, but not too much. Below you can see an example of a channel setting used in a copper sweater pin:
