About My Jewelry...
Crafting, for me, has been one of the biggest parts of my life. I started doing beading with my aunt when I was a small girl, sitting at her kitchen table while she teaches me how to turn small plastic beads into alligators and bunny rabbits. At the age of 13, my grandmother taught me how to crochet , which turned into a deep love of yarn and all the crafts involving. After 17 years of working with yarn, I decided to pick up a new craft, a different way to express myself through my artwork.
Wire has become a part of my life that I never expected. When I picked up wire working, I was getting out of a very abusive and frightening home life. My whole life was turned upside down, learning to become a single parent to 2 young boys, being both mother and father along with soul provider. Wire wrapping turned into not just a hobby, but what saved me. Being able to express myself through my art, being able to turn my sadness and grief over what we’ve been through into something beautiful is what has gotten me through the hardest part of my life.
Timeless Tempest is the outcome of much hard work and perseverance not only from me, but also my wonderful and amazing partner, who I have to thank for pushing me to go public with my work. Through timeless tempest, I would love to teach the world the power of healing through your own mind and inner strength. Being able to show yourself that you are capable of creating your own beautiful artwork is one of the most amazing feelings in the world. With inner strength and a will to be better, we can all overcome the worst in life.
